Care of Pearls.

Pearls are delicate gems and to keep them looking their best there are a few rules which if you adhere to your pearls will continue to look bright, blemish free and will be as stunning as they were when you first purchased them.

Pearls were once living so you need to keep your pearls out of harms way.

When wearing your pearls you need to place them on last after putting on your make up, hair spray etc, this is so that your products do not coat the pearls with these foreign products and this can damage the pearl necklace, earrings or bracelet and can take away the shine and clarity of the pearl.

 Like the fact that pearls need to be the last item you put on it also needs to be the first item you take off before taking off your make up with oils and creams, you need you take off the pearls and lie them flat on a velvet or silk lined jewellery box or case to keep them looking their best.

 Storage.

To keep your pearls in tip top condition keep them flat and in a cool dry place out of harms way.  Pearls love to be worn so the best place to keep your pearls is around youe neck or on your wrist.
